These are more otedama (juggling balls or bags) made with a brighter palette, hopefully to suit bigger boys. I’ve realised the thing I like most about making these, apart from combining fabrics, is that it is a stationary act because there is no need to press after the strips of fabric are prepared. So, it is a well-suited project for little gaps.

I have made a couple of totes, enjoying returning to bag-making which is where my sewing began. I am not sure what next. As always there are tensions between the satisfaction in repeating processes and exploring new; and between making the things we want and working toward selling. One project at a time.
